Movie Nights in English
a film, good company, popcorn, and living English
We've launched a format that combines pleasure with purpose: you watch a great movie in its original language, and then discuss it with fellow film and English lovers.

How it works
It's simple, but thoughtfully organized. The host chooses a film in advance — always something engaging, with natural dialogue and themes worth discussing. It could be a classic, a contemporary drama, a quality comedy, or an inspiring movie. The key is that the film gives you something to talk about.
You come to the event, we play the movie in English with subtitles, and watch it together. But the real highlight begins after the screening.

Not just "liked it — didn't like it"
The host prepares for each meeting in advance. They come with a list of questions that help unpack the film from every angle. Why did the character act that way? What would you have done in that situation? What was the director trying to say? How does this theme connect to our own lives?
And there's an extra bonus — vocabulary. The host picks out the most useful phrases, idioms, and expressions from the film. The kind that native speakers use every day but rarely appear in textbooks. You don't just hear a word in the movie — you break it down, understand it, and immediately try using it in speech.
The discussion takes place in English, but in a gentle, supportive format. The host helps, prompts, and guides. You can speak in short phrases or long monologues — as much as you're ready for.

Why this is a great idea
Because movies are real, living English. Not textbook English, not slowed down, but the kind people actually speak. With accents, with slurred sounds, with jokes you won't always understand by the rules. You train your ear to understand English in a natural environment, not just in perfect broadcaster pronunciation.
Plus, films are all about emotions. And when emotions are involved, the language sticks on its own. That phrase that made you laugh or feel a little sad will stay with you for a long time — no memorization required.

Who movie nights are for
  • Those who love cinema and want to watch it in the original without the fear of "what if I don't understand anything."
  • Those who are tired of learning English from textbooks and want a living, inspiring context.
  • Those with a B1 level or higher — you already understand the main storyline, and subtitles plus the host's help will take care of the rest.
  • Those who are shy about speaking but are ready to try in a gentle, supportive atmosphere.
  • Those who simply want to spend an evening in good company while improving their language skills.

What you get in the end
You watch a great film. You train your listening comprehension. You expand your vocabulary with useful, real-life phrases. You speak English without the fear of making mistakes. And you spend an evening in warm company, sharing your impressions of what you've watched.

Sounds good? We're waiting for you at our movie nights!

Movie Night is the best thing that's happened to my English in ages. A good movie and absolutely no stress. That's my kind of thing :)
